Fast ferry line Split – Sutivan to continue in 2021
A fast ferry route connecting Split with Sutivan on Brac Island is set to continue in 2021. The news was met with great enthusiasm, especially because there will be more departures this year. The route originally started in 2020. This year the ferries will sail all summer, from June 15 to September 15. In addition to the afternoon departure, there will be another catamaran departure from Sutivan in the morning hours. This is a big deal for locals, as it will enable them to get more easily to Split, where a lot of them have regular jobs.
Sutivan town would like to thank the Split-Dalmatia county for helping establish this route. Full timetable of departures for route #9601 will be published shortly, as soon as the deal is finished with the carrier, which would be Krilo Shipping Company.
In other news regarding the ferry routes in Croatia, only one offer from the ferry companies was received for two routes in Dalmatia. Croatian Coastal Shipping Agency said there was only one offer for routes Sibenik-Zlarin–Obonjan–Kaprije–Zirje and Trogir – Slatine – Split. These two routes were proposed to ferry companies for a period of six years. Jadrolinija made an offer for the first line, while Bura Line made the offer for the other one. The Committee will review both offers and give the final decision 30 days after receiving the offers.
