Antigen testing for guests will be performed in Bol
In order to enable its guests a more pleasant and safe stay in Bol on the island of Brac, the Tourist Board of Bol, in cooperation with the general practice of doctor Markica Tomić, has agreed to conduct antigen tests from Tuesday, April 13. Thanks to them, visitors will very quickly have information whether it is COVID-19 or some other respiratory infection.
Bol is also the first island town in Split-Dalmatia County to provide an antigen testing service, which is another indicator of the responsibility of this place and serious preparations for the upcoming season. Most tourist workers will be vaccinated in April, and the local population is expected to be vaccinated by 50% by the end of May.
The flights will adapt to the epidemiological situation
Brac Airport currently has announced flights from Ljubljana, Dusseldorf, Zagreb, Vienna and Linz. The flights are adapting to the epidemiological situation and the start of air traffic is expected in the second half of May. Airport Director Tonči Peović points out that testing for COVID-19 antigen tests will be organized at the invitation of the travel organizer or the airline. At the end of April, the opening of the first Bol hotels is planned, in which face masks will be available to guests and all necessary and defined epidemiological measures and protocols will be implemented.
The Tourist Board designed walking and cycling trails
There is a growing interest in outdoor programs, so the Tourist Board has designed walking and cycling trails, based on local legends. Top of hiking route no. 100 hides the dwarf Macic, whose treasure is in the underground caves. While walking along path no. 101, it is possible to find out how the Glagolitics lived in the 16th century in the monastery of the Blaca desert, carved into the rocks. Route no. 102 will be remembered by dragon lovers who will walk to the Dragon’s Cave, where centuries-old reliefs with Slavic myths about fairies, werewolves and witches await them, and the view from a height of 307 meters which is truly breathtaking.
The Golden Horn hides a pebble of fortune
Experienced cyclists will find a demanding, but also attractive bike trail no. 768 about 45 km long, which stretches along the island of Brac and leads to the top of Vidova Gora with a beautiful view of the nearby islands. Legend has it, gentle fairies used to gather there, which would turn into witches in bad weather. There is one more, the favourite path for cyclists, which leads past fragrant fields of rosemary, sage and lavender to the Golden Horn, one of the most beautiful beaches. There hides the pebble of fortune – the source of eternal happiness and prosperity.
