Completion of the largest port infrastructure project on Cres island
The project of upgrading the western part of the port of Cres worth 37.5 million HRK is nearing completion and already now, according to the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Prefect Zlatko Komadina, Cres town has received a completely new look.
Completion of the project “Reconstruction and extension of the western part of the port of Cres” will provide the necessary protection of the waters within the port area of the port of Cres, or protection of the bay from waves and wind, which directly affects the preservation of vessels of Cres during storms.
As Komadina states for Morski.hr, this is one of the largest investments of the County Port Authority in Cres, a new breakwater has been built that offers a safe berth for fishermen, excursion boats and safe access to all vessels in the high-speed line. This project will certainly raise nautical tourism in Cres.
