Croatian ferry companies offering their services for earthquake affected areas
Jadrolinija, Croatian state-owned ferry company, is providing free ride for all the vehicles which transport humanitarian aids to Sisak-Moslavina County. The county was devastated by several earthquakes, of which the strongest recorded had a magnitude of 6,2.
For everyone traveling to Petrinja and the surrounding towns, you will have to deliver your organization or association name, along with your personal and vehicle identification to Jadrolinija email. The company will also provide free ferry service for everyone coming from the affected areas in Sisak-Moslavina County. Free service is also available for Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, firefighters and volunteers going to the county.
Similarly to Jadrolinija, another ferry company has joined this initiative. Rapska plovidba will also provide free ferry service for anyone transporting humanitarian aids. It is necessary to contact the company via phone or email beforehand. Rapska plovidba is a small local ferry company from Rab Island, operating non-stop since 1963.
The company has 4 ferries: “Četiri zvonika”, “Barbat”, “Sveti Marin” and “Sveti Kristofor” which sail on the route Stinica – Mišnjak, which takes about 18 minutes in total. The company also operates the passenger route Rab-Lun using the “Maslina” ferry.
