Croatian islands record excellent results of the tourist season

The tourist season of 2021 exceeded everyone’s expectations. Islands all over the Croatian coast record excellent results that remind of 2019. This is an incredible achievement if we consider that the situation with the pandemic is still ongoing.

Rab island more than satisfied with the results

On the island of Rab, 94% of traffic was generated compared to the same month of the tourist record 2019.

The biggest number of guests are from Germany, followed by domestic guests and those from Austria and Slovenia.

As the director of the Tourist Board of the City of Rab Ivana Matušan says, visitors mostly opt for accommodation in a family household (64%), then campsites (11%) and hotels (10%).

Excellent tourist results in the city of Rab have been achieved if looking at the whole year so far, i.e. the first eight months.

As Matušan adds, from January to August, we can be extremely satisfied. The result is 27% better than last year for the same period, and if we look at 2019 the realization is as much as 82%.

Currently, about 10 thousand tourists stay in the area of the City of Rab. Reservation announcements for September are excellent, both in family accommodation and in hotels.
