Jadrolinija extends high-speed line Dubrovnik – Korcula – Hvar – Bol – Split until September 20
As Jadrolinija reports, maintenance of the high-speed line Dubrovnik – Korcula – Hvar – Bol – Split is extended until September 20.
They further explain that throughout July, from week to week, they monitored the growth in the number of transported passengers and vehicles. This positive trend continued throughout August, and good results continue.
Among other things, a large number of passengers expressed interest in the high-speed line that connects two important tourist destinations on the mainland – Dubrovnik and Split, with docks on the popular summer destinations – Korcula town, Hvar town on island Hvar and Bol on Island Brac.
Jadrolinija concludes that the maintenance of this seasonal high-speed line has been extended until 20 September in order to make the summer last as long as possible and to give as many passengers as possible the opportunity to explore the Adriatic coast. They also believe that late summer is ahead of us with good results.
The promenade divided the islanders of Drvenik Veli
In Drvenik Veli, problems with the issue of the new promenade along the beach continue. As part of the project which tries to respect the opinions of all locals, the locals decided to expand the promenade, but the island’s civic initiative disagrees. They claim that a road will actually be built, which will permanently destroy the beach. And they also suspect the behind-the-scenes games of the Trogir city authorities.
In the civic initiative Zirona, they are for the reconstruction of the promenade, but they do not want agave and scrapes to be cut due to its extension, nor to expand it to six meters and turn it into a road, parking lot or emergency road – to Grabule Bay.
And so the locals were divided. Most of those who are not for the promenade, they say, do not even live here permanently, so they do not have the right to vote.
Visions of development are obviously different. Opponents of the expansion believe the works actually lead to the relocation of the dock, once the marina is expanded. The mayor of Trogir says there is no need for conspiracy theories.
