“Meet Absyrtides”- educational trip

To get to know the islands, during March the Tourist board of the Town of Mali Lošinj will organize multiple one-day educational trips for tourism stakeholders called “Meet Absyrtides”.

On March 5th, participants will tour the famous ancient city of Osor, and discover a new dimension of history through the virtual reality of the “Osor Time Machine”. They will visit Osors salt marsh and get to know the natural diversity of the southern part of the island of Cres by visiting Jamina Sredi, a famous cave and archaeological site located on Punta Križa-

On the twelfth of March, we are back on the island of Cres where a tour of the Moise Palace is planned, after which the road leads to Loznat, a famous cheese factory. An indispensable part of the story is the museum of the famous Andrija Linardić in Martinšćica, which reveals the story of the first distillery in these areas. Next is a visit to the Kučić distillery, which has carried on the tradition to this day.

On March 19th in Veli Lošinj, on the south of the Lošinj island, important attractions are scheduled. First Veli Lošinj Tower and the Blue World Educational Center, and after that, we return to Mali Lošinj and its famous Museum of Apoxyomenos, Loger Nerezinac and the already famous Fragrant Island Garden. 

Last Saturday is reserved for a visit to the well known ‘sand island’ Susak and its sights.

“Through this program, we want to introduce renters and other tourism professionals to the attractions of the Cres- Lošinj area so they can experience them ‘first hand’, and then promote and recommend them to their guests.”, said the director of Mali Lošinj Tourist Board Dalibor Cvitković.

Excursions are organized by the Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj and led by tourist guide Irena Dlaka.

All those interested can apply until the 4th of March, 2022. The departure is from Mali Lošinj in the morning.
