Korcula – OneLife Rally exhibition visits the Island
With over 55 drivers from all over the world, the third edition of humanitarian OneLife Rally made a stop at Korcula Island. The exhibition started in Dubrovnik, and was intended to continue to Malta. However, the organizers decided to make a quick stop and visit Korcula. Attendees were hosted at Diamond Villa in Zrnovo town. Besides promoting Croatian tourism, OneLife Rally also has a humanitarian note. Therefore, part of the profits from the exhibition was forwarded to the children’s home “Maslina” in Dubrovnik. The exhibition contained luxury cars like Lamborghini, Ferrari and McLaren, worth over 25 million pounds. In 2019, OneLife Rally was visited by more than 30 million people.
The organizers stated that the main goal is to motivate the youth by telling the stories by OneLife participants. They want to encourage everyone to follow their dreams and never give up. Part of the event was held at Diamond Villa, which recently received an award as the best luxury villa in Croatia. Both OneLife Rally organizers and villa management shared their passion about promoting tourism. This was a great opportunity for promotion of Korcula Island, as it put the island right next to the leading world destinations. Guests were met with the best seafood the island has to offer, as well as premium champagnes.
Hosts also emphasized that Korcula Island deserves more attention from the world media, due to its beauty and offering. Attention of the guests which arrived at the event will surely be used in a good way. These kinds of events are even more important during the pandemic, since a lot of traffic was lost due to Covid-19. Thanks to the event, Korcula was presented in an original way as an automobile destination, not dependent solely on air travel. Also, Peljesac bridge will be finished soon, making Korcula even closer to the rest of Europe.
