Ships from Dubrovnik to nearby islands starting this month
New lines begin to operate in the Dubrovnik archipelago during May. Visitors of Dubrovnik will be able to visit Lokrum island for free. Also, they will be able to visit the islands of Korcula and Lastovo with a new catamaran line.
Ship to Lokrum
The first ship to Lokrum departed on Saturday and it will be free of charge for citizens of Dubrovnik for the entire season. The Lokrum Reserve is opened to visitors on the same day, May 8, 2021. The first boat to the island departed at 10:00 am and while the special benefit has been prepared for the citizens of Dubrovnik this season, promotional ticket prices will be valid for all visitors until June 30.
As Morski.hr writes, citizens have access to completely free transport and a visit to Lokrum. They can use this year’s benefit without restrictions on the number of departures. It is unnecessary to possess a card like in previous years and it is enough to present proof of residence.
Enjoying the natural beauty of the special reserve of forest vegetation on the island of Lokrum is thus possible with promotional tickets with a special discount of 50% in the period from May 8 to June 30, 2021.
The price of the main ticket with a return boat ticket from the city port and tickets to the Reserve is 100 HRK. If the ticket is purchased at Lugar’s house on the island and if you come with your own boat or another arrangement the ticket is 75 HRK.
You can visit the Lokrum Reserve every day from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in compliance with epidemiological measures, and tickets can be purchased at Peskarija and Lugareva kuća sales points.
Catamaran to Lastovo and Korcula
The state high-speed line 9808 will be established this May and the first trip will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021, the Coastal Line Agency announced.
The line will be maintained by the shipping company TP line d.o.o. with a fast boat “Anastasia“.
TP line d.o.o. was selected as the most favourable bidder in the negotiated public procurement procedure without prior publication of a call for tenders and during the next week a contract will be signed with the shipowner to perform temporary transport on the state line 9808.
