The Tourist Board in Bol received the Golden Interstas

Despite a very challenging year, the Tourist Board of Bol on Brac island wanted to bring visitors and tourists closer and show the beauties of Bol in a slightly different way.

In collaboration with the production team – DOKU FILM, the Tourist Board prepared a promotional campaign – the omnibus of Our Bol Stories, in which they presented the beauties of their region through the eyes and words of the locals.

This creative project was submitted to the 23rd International Tourfilm Festival by the famous photographer and cameraman Šime Strikoman, and the jury also included prominent members of the European Federation of Tourist Journalists and Writers. A total of 412 films from 147 countries were submitted, and in the demanding competition, the international jury of the festival – the 23rd ITF’CRO, recognized the authentic promotional videos of the Tourist Board of Bol.

At the suggestion of the International Commission of Tourist Journalists, the Golden Interstas 2020 Award was given to the Tourist Board of Bol for, as stated in the explanation, “very creative professional achievements and excellence in presenting the richness of tourism, traditional values and culture, as well as tourism on the island of Brač and the county of Split-Dalmatia, and thus Croatia as a whole ”. Although the awards ceremony was to take place in Solin on November 13th, due to epidemiological conditions, it was presented online, and according to Bol Tourist Board Director Markit Marinkovic, the program would take place in April next year, if the epidemiological situation allows.

The whole event was supported by the world and European associations in tourism, tourism journalism and film. The Tourist Board of Bol had used the opportunity to thank all the people of Bol who participated in our Bol stories.
