Unije island – Sunset Unije (Diverse) Festival

With the support of locals from Unije island, the Sunset Union (Diverse) Festival is held from June 19 to September 4!

The initiators of the event from the Association Ribi Ribi announce that the “festivals within the festival” will last until September 4 and offer a variety of entertainment for all ages, as well as work actions on the island.

Something for everyone

Interested in watching movies on the most beautiful canvas-in-the-shallows in the world? Do you want to dehydrate by walking on the 14th largest island in Croatia where there is not even a square of shade? Interested in renewable energy sources and ways small islands can become energy self-sustaining? Do you miss summer programs for the youngest to actively spend their holidays, have fun and learn something? Even in the hottest period of the year, you do not give up sports recreation?

All this, and much more will be offered by this year’s, also the first edition of the Sunset Union (Diverse) Festival – SU(r)F, which began on June 19 and will last until September 4. This summer, the Unions are making a breakthrough, organizing a whole series of festivals. SU(r)F is a creative product of islanders, for islanders, an effort to turn the creativity, enthusiasm and potential of the Union Island community into a complete project, open to all interested who want to offer a particular program or idea and coordinated in a way to enable rich and continuous events for islanders and their guests.

Festivals within the festival

This festival of arts, culture, ecology, technology and sports on the island of Unije will bring together the local community, tourists, enthusiasts, amateur and professional artists, athletes and adventurers, in the natural isolation of the island of Unije, with content such as practical and theoretical workshops, seminars, environmental actions and education, revue sports competitions and auditoriums, and multi-day programs such as a film and music festival. These are actually “festivals within the festival” and all those interested in the Unions are welcome this summer: Sunset Union Ecology Festival, Film Festival, Olympic Festival, Art and Social Festival.

Unije island is connected to several ferry lines such as Rijeka, Mali Losinj island, Martinscica and Cres island.
